JetstarWhilst performing flight JQ-1 from Melbourne to Honolulu the aircraft departed from Runway 16 when the aircraft suffered a bird strike. No abnormal indications to the crew where shown by the aircraft and they therefore continued to Honolulu without Any further known issues landing 10 hours later. Post flight inspection however showed terminal damage to the number 1 engine and therefore requires replacement, aircraft grounded.
