2020-04-21 | Whilst performing flight AC2287 from Vancouver to Hong Kong, the aircraft was cleared to the ILS approach to Runway 25L, it reached waypoint LOTUS and was handed to the Tower. Shortly after this the aircraft overshot the localizer in a decent to 3900 feet. The minimum height at this point is 4300 feet. Tower advised a terrain warning and the crew corrected their flight path to re-intercept the localizer without further issues. This isn't the first incident at this airport for a Boeing 787 series aircraft. | W56Y282 |
